Obituary of Anna Florence Langille
Age 77, Halifax, passed away Monday August 26, 2019 at the V.G. Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Robison) Langille.
Anna was an active member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Locks Rd. Dartmouth. She was a past member of the Emmanuel Anglican Church and choir, member of the ACW, on the board of ACW for the Diocese of NS., served with the woman’s inter-church council in the Metro area, member of the “Young at Hearts Club”, envelope secretary at Emmanuel Anglican. She loved to travel, she was mother to many, she babysat children in Spryfield and all over Metro. She was caring, giving and very active in the church. Anna was a “Techie” and had done Cursillo and Day Colors. Involved in the Emmanuel Ladies Weekend, a Sunday School Teacher and member of St. Anne’s Camp Sanctuary Guild.
She is survived by sister, Judith Pelrine (Warren), Harrietsfield; nieces, Natasha (Chad) Cairns, Jennifer (Ben) Gendron, Melissa Pelrine and Amanda Pelrine; nephew, Stephen (Ashley) Pelrine, 10 great nieces and nephews and long time friend, Cy Day. She was predeceased by brother, Donald “Barry”; sister, Wendy Little.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where visitation will be held Tuesday September 3 from 7-9 pm. A celebration of Life will be held Wednesday September 4 at 11 am from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church 8 Locks Rd. Dartmouth. Reception to follow in church hall. Interment to take place in Emmanuel Anglican Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in memory of may be made to the Emmanuel Cemetery Fund.
