I had the pleasure of meeting "Gus" while working at NRCan and spent quite a few hours over the years enjoying a beer on Friday afternoons at the "P" with him. I was sorry to hear of his passing and give my sincerest sympathies to Ellen and his family. He was a well liked gentleman.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked at EMR/NRCan with Gus for about 30 years. He was one of the very first peers I met when I started to work there in 1980...everyone else was some kind of boss or supervisor. As time went on, we'd often end up with mutual friends at "The P" for a pint and a laugh on Fridays. After many years of waves & hellos in the halls at work, I saw him the day he was moving back to Halifax. He was so excited and posted some great pics of his journey east. Always kind, always friendly...one of the good ones may be gone from this plane, but he'll never be forgotten. My sincerest condolences.

The family of the late Charles (Chuck) Kingsley of Saint John, New Brunswick wishes to express our sincerest condolences for the untimely passing of his nephew, Angus.
