I only found out recently and was too devastated to be able to put into words how I felt. We never met in person, but we still shared laughter, tears and insecurities. We encouraged each other when we could and offered comfort when we couldn’t. Karen, you bought joy back into my life when I most needed it and helped me through so many rough times. I will always remember you. Not just for your kind words and encouragements, but also your creativity and excitement. I know life wasn’t easy and that you struggled. I hope I was able to help with some of that through the years we’d been in touch and that your life didn’t become too horrible afterwards. I will always remember you, dear friend, and I hope you found peace.
