Obituary of Colin Arthur Smith

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad Colin Arthur Smith on April 5, 2020 at age 89.  Dad was a resident of Parkstone Enhanced Care but was born and raised in Terence Bay son of the late Warren and Monica Smith.  

He is survived by sons, Greg (Della), Marcel (Carolyn) Smith; daughter, Darlene (Kevin) Shaw; brother, James Smith.  Held close to his heart were granddaughters, Sherida Braden, April Smith; grandsons, Cory Braden, Jeffrey Smith, Adam Smith; great granddaughters, Tyisha, Justice, Mya; great grandson, Josh were equally as dear. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Palreen and daughter Janet.   

Dad was employed at Canadian Forces Base Halifax for 16 years as heavy equipment operator and his love of the ocean took him on many journeys as supply ship crewmember.  His passions included hunting, fishing and storytelling but the ultimate was his music.  Dad over the years kept family and friends entertained with song, guitar, fiddle and mandolin. Special thank you to Dr. Harris Crooks and the nurses and staff of Point Pleasant Way Parkstone, especially Nancy for their special care and dedication.
