Obituary of Robert Wilbert Joudrey

Age 87, Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bob on April 23, 2020 at Hospice Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Ralph and Alma (Refuse) Joudrey.

Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 34 years, Yvonne (Hillier); sons, Graham, George (Petra), Anthony (Laurie), Michael (Julie); daughters, Diane, Darlene; step son, Wayne Hillier, step daughters, Joyce (Frank) Webber, Margaret (Terry) Cranford, Karen (Niki) Hillier; brother, Phillip; sister, Thelma Conroy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special friends Linda and Geraldine. He was predeceased by sons, Freddie, Brian and several siblings.

Bob was a veteran, coin collector, and Nova Scotia (especially Halifax) history buff. Bob loved the great outdoors, walking on the Halifax waterfront, watching the cruise ships, visiting the Public Gardens and Point Pleasant Park. He enjoyed going to the Casino and loved his donairs. Bob was a strong, loving, gentle, kind, and generous family man who enjoyed life to the fullest and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Because he lived there is more love in the world than there would have been without him and for him, that was the reason above all others for the gift of life.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Interment to take place at a later date.
