Obituary of Carol Secord
Carol Blanche Secord died peacefully at The QEII Hospital on June 11. Born in New Glasgow, NS on July 23, 1946, she was the daughter of Clarence and Olive [MacKay] Croft. Educated in Sherbrooke, NS and Halifax, she worked in the financial field for the majority of her career.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; son Christopher and his partner Curtis Lawrence; brother Clary and sister-in-law Sharon, with whom she proudly shared her birthday; sister Nancy [Owen] Beaver; chosen sisters Carrie Turner and Sheila [Dwight] Kaiser. Carol was devoted to her family and will be lovingly remember by her many nieces and nephews as well as her large circle of friends. She particularly enjoyed her many summer visits with her American family, Shirley and Richard Moran.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother Steven.
She was the ultimate party planner and loved to surround herself with great food and laughter. Always there to help others, she loved to make others happy with her generous spirit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. Cremation has taken place; no funeral due to Covid 19. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.walkerfh.com. In honour of Carol, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
