Obituary of Jessie Mary Bridgette Riach

age 86, Glen Margaret, passed away suddenly at Maplestone Enhanced Care on September 18, 2020. Born in Newport, Wales, eldest daughter of the late Daniel and Jessie (Netherway) Evans.

Jessie was a wonderful, multi-talented woman who had varied interests and worked in many fields including electronics assembly and inspection. She and Dad enjoyed retirement immensely, and travelled as much as possible. Mom lost a part of herself when she lost her best friend of 56 years (Dad died in 2009). She moved into Maplestone Care in 2015 and promptly started stealing hearts. The people there became her loving and beautiful extended family. We will be forever grateful for the genuine love of so many amazing people in all areas of the facility. Mom’s best talent was to reflect love and kindness, which she did with a good measure of sauciness and spunk.

She is survived by daughter, Jane (Michael); grandson, James (Maxine); son, Ian (Kim); grandchildren, Danelle, Shannon, Alex, Morgan and Heather, as well as their spouses and children; brothers, John and Jim. She is predeceased by brother, Danny; and sisters, Mary and Joyce.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. As per Jessie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
