I remember Bill's friendly welcome when I arrived at the church ten years ago. Over the intervening years, I listened to his stories (oh those stories!) and chatted from time to time about "weightier" issues of social import or questions of faith. Bill was smart, inquisitive and interested in a wide range of subjects. But, more than that, he was a good and decent man who tried to always do the right thing. To Joyce and the family, know how much we all thought of him for the gift he was to us. May the Good Shepherd take him in His arms and care for him. Bill will be fine . . . he rests in Heaven now. Take comfort in that, dear friends, and be at peace. Deacon Paul Carnell

I worked with Bill at MT&T. I was one of the secretaries in the department. So much fun at coffee break with Bill and Bev Turnbull telling all their stories. Bill always wore a white shirt and tie. Bill worked with my Uncle Jack Goldthrorpe. So many stories and memories that I will never forget. Rest well Bill, you have made this world a better place.
