Obituary of Donna Marie Bevis

Age 74, Hatchet Lake, passed away suddenly at home on April 5, 2021. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Madeline (Bremner) Blackburn.

Donna is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Daniel Blackburn (Cindy Young), Dawn Bevis-Young (Reg); sisters, Carolyn Slaunwhite, Linda Armstrong, Valerie Blackburn, Betty MacInnis; brother, Gary Blackburn; granddaughter Ashley Young; great grandson Brayden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gail Wournell.

Donna was respected by many and loved dearly by her family.  She enjoyed watching her favourite shows on TV, which consisted of a few game shows but mostly Coronation Street and mystery shows. In the summer she’d look forward to a couple camping trips with her family.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the Breast Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
