I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know the heartache of losing a loved one. Soon the God of Comfort will bring an end to death and wipe away the tears from all faces, for this has been promised at Isaiah 25:8, where it says says,"He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." We can also look forward to the marvelous hope brought out at Acts 24:15 It says "I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." So we see that those we lost in death will be brought back to life here on earth.Only Gods Kingdom...the Kingdom we pray for in Matthew 6: 9-10, the Lords prayer, can bring about this wonderful hope. Joan, I was so very sad to hear of Danny's passing. Although only meeting him last summer, it was easy to tell what a wonderful man he was. He was so excited to take Brad and I out with you both on the boat and his love of the water was contagious. Sending you and your family my deepest condolences and thinking of you all at this time. I was saddened to hear of Danny's passing. Danny and Joan played a great role in my upbringing. Brian and myself would swim across herring cove from Sal's wharf to the wharf on the other side with money in a baggie and walk to the store on the other side. We caught many fish off that wharf. Suzanne and I were very sad to hear of Danny's death. I grew up with him in Herring Cove. I remember well the day when we connected ion Toronto over 50 years ago and had the pleasure of witnessing his marriage to Joan. Sadly we lost touch over the years. Oddly his death happened on my 74th birthday, go figure!. I have fond memories and wish Joan and family comfort during this difficult time. Chris Pelham

We would like to send our deepest sympathy to all your family. Although I did not know Dan very well, he and my brother (David Power) were close friends growing up in Herring Cove and they lived together in Toronto for a short time. David passed away in1997 and I believe they are now sharing old story's and laughing about their times together. Again, our deepest sympathy, particularly to Charlie as we both now know what is like to lose a brother. Gordon and Monalee Power
