Obituary of George William Penny

 It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of George Wm. “Pop” Penny, announce his peaceful passing on May 21, 2021 at home.

He is survived by his daughters, Juanita (Mark) and Karen (Michael); son, Tom; granddaughters, Penny and Keri; grandson, Brian; great grandsons, Gage and Cameron all of Halifax. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary of Glace Bay, Ethel of Ontario and his brother, Wayne (Janet) of Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his wife, Ernestine; daughter, Georgina; son (in-law) Russell and grandson, Derek. Following cremation, George and Ernestine’s ashes will be taken to Glace Bay, Cape Breton for burial in St. Anne’s Cemetery in a private service.
