Obituary of Joseph Alexander Smith

Joseph Smith, at 8:35 p.m. on Thursday November 25, 2021 inhaled in the presence of his beloved family and exhaled in God’s Loving Embrace Free from a body exhausted after a courageous battle with cancer.  Joseph shed a tear to finally be reunited with his parents Kenneth and Louise (Forgeron) Smith as well as his surrogate parents Aunt Marilyn & Uncle Wayne Forgeron. Confident and Assured of Joseph’s Eternal Love & Devotion are his precious angels on earth his wife Justine, his sons Michael & Jared (Raven), his sister Sheila (Stephen) Burgess, brother Patrick (Carolyn); father in law David; brother in law Joseph and sister in law Lorena Fredericks; nieces Stephanie (Robie), Amber (Ronnie), Anna. nephews Kyle (Ashley) Devon and Samuel. Joseph was a strong advocate and fundraiser for Autism the hungry and the homeless. Joseph’s greatest passion was Family. Joseph’s loss will be felt deeply by all who were and/or felt like a member of Joey’s extended family circle.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax A Celebration Of Life service will take place on Monday Dec 6 2021 at 10:30 am in their Chapel officiated by  Rev Elaine Walcott. Proof of double vaccination and government ID are required. Masks must be worn at all times.
