Obituary of Robert Michael Briand

Briand, Robert 'Bobby' Michael, Halifax

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Robert Briand at Halifax Infirmary, on December 11th 2021. Born in Halifax he was the son of the Late Michael and Clara (MacDoland) Briand.

Bobby was an avid hockey lover and in his younger years he was a goalie. He enjoyed watching old movies (Turner Classics) as well as collecting antique model cars, trucks, and airplanes. Bobby also enjoyed trips out with his sister Kathleen, whether is was eating out, going to the movies or to see the tall ships. He was also an active and faithful member of the City Church of Halifax. 

Robert is survived by his sister Kathleen Rankin, niece Tabitha (Jeff) Lynds and nephews Michael James and Andrew Campbell Rankin. 

Aside from his parents he is predeceased by brothers Gerald Kenneth Dean, Albert Percy Dean; and sister Dorothy Dean. 

Service will be held on Friday December 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm at City Church Halifax, 276 Herring Cove Road. 

Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Muscular Dystrophy.
