So many wonderful words I'm reading here of a lady who was very special to so many. I too spent many hours of my teenage years in the Green/Meyers home (up and down) as a friend of Cheryl. As I continually read here, no one was ever made to feel unwelcome. The entire family was very open door and welcoming. Condolences to the Green and Meyers families. The good Lord got a good one back! God Bless you all and may you find the comfort you each need in sharing the love and wonderful memories Maddie left behind.

I have the fondest memories of growing up next door to Maddie and Ron and the Meyers family. Maddie treated us like we were her own kids. She was a second mom to us and was always kind, caring and loving. I knew when I hopped the fence to visit the Meyers family I would be greeted with a huge hug from Maddie and the familiar, "how are you sweetheart?"
I was sadden by the news of her passing and want to send my condolences and love to Joanne, Ronny, Darryl (Butchie), Sandy, Chrissy, Shawn, and Derrick. Keep those wonderful memories of your mom close to your heart. She will be missed.

I'm very blessed to had Maddie in my life. She was a great friend and I consider her like a second soul mother, always asking how was my day, how is my family doing and telling me everytime I visit her, that she loved me. The conversations she shared with me about her life experiences was inspiring. She is very intelligent, adventurous, loving and caring. She is a gift brought to us from the heavens. All her children, have her soulful eyes that fills a room up with warmth. Her kindness is her legacy.
We are spiritual energy contain is this fresh body, in this world, in this time. We are born, we live and then we return to the spiritual realm. Love ones are never lost, they are getting ready for their next transformation, as we will be when our time comes. Our essence will survive and we will all be reunited together in our next journey. I forward to seeing you again, my dear sweet Maddie.. Thank you for looking after us. Your Love is everlasting which is our eternal gift.

Where to even start....Maddie was a 2nd Mom growing up. She was the most kind, loving person, everyone was welcome in the Meyer's home. It was a second home to so many of the neighbourhood kids. Even if they had nothing, she would gladly share. Maddie always had a smile and laugh and an ear to listen. Boy, the neighbourhood parties going on in heaven now,,,
So sad for all of you, take care of each other. Hugs, Vicki

Please accept my condolences for Aunt Madeline's passing. I have so many fond memories of her. From my visit to Halifax 35yrs ago to seeing her and your father Ron eating corn on the cob and having a Schooner in my parents backyard. Truly great times that I will cherish. I'm grateful I got the chance to talk to her Christmas Eve and tell her I missed and loved her. Your mom was a gem and will be missed.

Joanne, Ronnie, Butchie, Sandy, Chrissy, Shawn and Dereck, I am so deeply sorry for your loss, mere words cannot express how deeply sorry I am. I knew Maddy and Ron too, they were amazing people, wonderful parents and always very quick with a joke or a laugh. Together they were the biggest Tiger fans I'd ever met. I will always think of not only Maddy, but Ron too and in my dreams the both of them will be up there cheering on their beloved Tigers and sharing a laugh. Guys, chin up, love and support one another, I'll remember your Mom with great fondness, her smile, her wisdom and her sage advice that she gave to a 15 year old teenager without judgement.

I love you Nanny, you will always have a special place in my heart, I’m so happy you were able to meet baby Henry and have lots of visits with him. You taught me how to knit and I will carry on that hobby you were so talented in, we share the same wedding anniversary and will always looking forward to that special day even more so now. Give grampie a kiss for me and Henry too xoxoxoxo and keeping laughing up there you have a sweetest laugh I’ll never forget.
