Obituary of Tylor D. McInnis

26, Halifax, passed away in Dartmouth on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was a son of Troy and Catherine (McInnis) Johnson. Tylor was a loving and amazing husband, father, brother and friend. He was adored by his family and friends. He had a passion for sports and coached the YMCA girl’s basketball team that he loved and adored doing. Tylor had a very gentle soul and a smile that would light up the room. Those who knew him well, knew he would do anything or give anything to anybody without looking for something in return. He was employed with JDH Drywall for the past few years. He will be missed by all, but his memory will live on in his children, family and friends. Tylor is survived by his common-law wife, Tyelisha Voeltz; children, Tyshon, Brooklyn, T’Shyiah and Tristyn; granddaughter, Tyiah; brother, Cowan Mcinnis; sister, Nellina Johnson. He is also survived by many special brothers and sisters; maternal grandparents, Percy and Donna MacKay; paternal grandparents, Larry Brooks and Ramona Mantley; aunt, Tu Tu; godmother, Violet. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Douglas and Nellie; Willoughby and Myrtle and his brother-in-law Tristan Oliver. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Monday, August 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 1 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Upper Hammonds Plains, Rev. Dr. Lennett J. Anderson officiating. Interment will take place in the Hammonds Plains Cemetery. A repass will follow in the church reception area. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an education fund for his children.
