Obituary of Edward R. Veith

Age 79, Halifax, passed away September 29, 2016, surrounded by his family, at the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Tanner) Veith. He is survived by loving wife Lillian (Snow); sons, Eddie (Kim Lafave); Robert "Dickie" (Annette); Artie (Buzzy); daughter, Cindy Veith; sister, Marie Greenwood (Joseph); 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; son-in-law Timmy Gilkie. He was predeceased by son, Alfie; daughter, Lillian "Boopsie". Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be held Sunday October 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral service on Monday October 3 at 1 p.m. from the chapel. Interment to take place in Fairview Lawn Cemetery Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
