Obituary of Patricia Ann Griffiths

Griffiths, Patricia Ann:  77, Halifax, passed away with her daughter by her side on November  22, 2022 at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS.  Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Vivian  (Romo) Brackett.  Patricia had worked at Sears  and once it closed she moved on to lunch monitor at Halifax West High School. Patricia was so proud of her grandchildren. She loved watching Megan compete in volleyball and synchronized swimming and Alex in gymnastics. She also loved traveling with her sisters to the Caribbean to enjoy the beaches as well as a cruise. She also loved gambling and her VLT trips with her sisters. She was a member of the Spryfield Legion and the Purcell’s Cove Club. Her pride, however, was her grandchildren, whom she treasured, they were her world.  Patricia will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her loving children, her son, Kenny (Darlene), his daughter, Sherry Watters (Kenneth), both of Halifax, and her sisters, Gloria (Whitey) Moore, Dartmouth, Judy (John) McMillan, Hammomds Plains, Debbie (Jim) Melvin, Bridgewater, and brother Kenny (Heather) Dedrick, Sackville., as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Peter who has welcomed her with open arms, parents Bernard and Vivian Brackett, Halifax and her brother Bill (Nancy) Brackett , Fall River.

Nanny will forever be remembered by her cherished grandchildren, grandson, Alex, and granddaughter, Megan, step grandson Derek and her many nieces and nephews. Pappy will be missed.

Arrangements are under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29th 2022 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel.  Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Nova Scotia Lung Association.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
