Obituary of Cecilia Mary Shields (Arseneau)

Cecilia Mary (Arseneau) Shields, age 85, passed away December 24, 2022 at Parkstone Enhanced Care. 

Wife of the late Ron Shields, survived by sons Bruce (Dawn) Vienneau, Marc (Susan) Vienneau; stepchildren Ron (Kathy) Shields, Wanda Latham, Danielle (Craig) Tanner. Predeceased by sons Larry and Wayne Vienneau. Grandmother to 17 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Survived by sister Audrey Doucet. 

Cecilia loved music, crafts and word puzzles. A lexicon was never far away. She enjoyed her outdoor flowers and her trips to McDonalds for fries and coffee. Her smile, wit and sense of humor will be dearly missed. 

We thank the staff of Fleming Way Parkstone for taking care of "mom."

Celebration of Life will be held at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax on Friday January 6, 2023 from 1-5 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of choice.
