Helen you were a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend I will deeply miss you.

I first met Helen many years ago as a customer of mine at the Joe Howe Superstore. I was in awe of her beauty. She was a spitfire ! Every Tuesday she would come through my lane and we would have a chat which I always enjoyed !On one particular occasion she told me she was upset that she couldn't find a book in our store. I asked her which one and she said the second book in the "Fifty Shades of Grey " series. I was in shock that she was reading that at her age (Probably 94 ) and the fact that the content was a bit risque. But she said in her feisty way that she liked reading it b/c it got her blood going ! Well we had a good laugh together over that ! She always wanted me to double her bags and was upset b/c the girls at Sobeys gave her a hard time when she asked them, but I was happy to oblige. I hadn't seen her in the last few months and I knew her friend / helper Rosamund was moving to BC. I was so sad when I met her son the other day at my Superstore and just by coincidence found out that Helen had passed away. I will certainly miss her ! I really hoped she would have lived to be 100 so we could have a big party ! May you RIP Helen, I am happy to have known you !.....Carmel

We are so saddened to hear of Helen's death. We. Had so much fun with her over the many years at the Aquarius. She was always so full of life. She was very lucky to have such a wonderful and caring son and granddaughter.
