Obituary of Marguerite Florence Makin

MAKIN, Marguerite Florence (Nee Little), Boswell- Age 88 of Halifax, Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb 23 2023 at Arbourstone Enhanced Care after a long battle with dementia.

Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Mary Genevieve (Rafter) Little. She is survived by her children, Joanne Boswell, Marilyn (Philip) Hood, Edward (Lillian Hausgaard) Boswell, and Tom (Suzanne) Makin Jr; stepchildren, Coleen, and Tracy, Jo-Anne; grandchildren, Christine, Frank, Elizabeth, and Jenna; step grandchildren, Cory, Teddy, Adam, Lydia, and Justine; two great grandchildren, Parker and Regan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Little. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Doris, Mildred, Joan, and Phyllis; brother, Tom Little; her first husband, William (Bill) Boswell 1976; second husband Thomas (Tom) Makin Sr. 2006.

Marguerite was a prayer warrior, lifetime member of St Lawrences Parish, and the CWL. Her ministry knew no bounds and her great joy was to share faith right to the end.  If you were on her “prayer List”, you were to expect a miracle.  From Mom’s lips to Gods ear.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd.,149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.  In keeping with Marguerites wishes there will be no visitation.  A Funeral Service will be held at St Agnes Catholic Church on March 2, 2023 @ 1:00.  A reception will follow, everyone welcome.
