Obituary of John William Buchanan

Age 82, Spryfield, passed away peacefully October 29, 2016 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Norman and Hazel (Silver) Buchanan. John is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Liz"; step son, Richard (Angela); sons, Donnie (Barb), Richard; daughters, Mary Jane (John), Hazel (Wes); brother, Robert (Cathy); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews. He was predeceased by 1st wife, Gwendolyn; 2nd wife, Dorothy; son, Arthur; brother, Donnie; sister, Marie Lavers, and a brother and sister in infancy. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd, where a visitation will be held Friday November 4 from 2-4 p.m. As per his wishes there will be no service. Interment to take place at a later date.
