Obituary of Duncan S. Keddy
Halifax, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Arborstone Enhanced Care, at the age of 92. Born in East Dover to the late Earl and Winifred Keddy.
After retiring from fishing, Duncan worked at A.M. Smith and the IWK Children’s Hospital as a painter until his retirement. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time at the cottage.
He is survived by his son, Glen (Linda) Keddy, East Dover; daughters, Lorraine (Brian) Allen, Bedford and Doreen Keddy, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Irene White, Kenny Cleveland, Jacqueline and Shawn Allen, Vicki Dunlop, Tammy Tracey and Brittney Mathews; several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Florence Finch; brother in-law, Collin Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lola (Cleveland); step son, Gerald Cleveland; sister, Palreen Smith.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Friday, November 4 from 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, Pastor Vicki Brown officiating; reception to follow. A private interment will take place in East Dover Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Duncan’s memory may be made to the East/West Dover Cemetery Fund, 122 West Dover Road, West Dover, NS B3Z 3S5.
