It’s a sad day for all of us. Accept my deepest condolences. Uncle Roger was a tremendous help to myself and Lori when we started our adult life in NS. Right out of school I got my first real job in Halifax and Uncle Roger took us in while we looked for a place to live. Let us use his car to get to work before we moved into our Dartmouth apartment. Years later Roger, Donnie and I built a new house in Colby right before I was offered a transfer back to Newfoundland. He was a great guy and an excellent craftsman. Terry Sheppard

Our deepest condolences on the passing of your father, grandfather, brother, friend or Uncle. I’m sure he is at peace and reunited with all loved ones that passed before him. May all rejoice in loving memories and forever be in our hearts. I know the first time we met I was 21 years old and visiting Newfoundland for Mom and Dad Sheppard’s anniversary and he came to the downstairs bedroom and pulled me out of bed by my legs. I had not a clue who he was till he told me I’m your uncle Roger. Then we laughed together I will never forget that day. Many great memories i have of Roger senior and his beautiful family, my home away from home in the late 70's when i joined the Navy. When my ship was in i would be longing to be at their home in beaver bank. Roger co signed for my very first bank loan and got me on my way so greatful. You have touched the hearts of many forever memories.
