Obituary of Donald Keith Glenn

Donald “Donnie” Keith Glenn  passed away May 8, 2023, peacefully at home, surrounded by his grandson, Noah, daughter, Sandra, and sister-in-law, Jean Hartling at the age of 76.

Donnie was born in Halifax on September 15, 1946.  Donnie loved to walk the Herring Cove Road and meet lots of people along the way with no destination in mind.  He was often seen at the Salvation Army, Spryfield, and the Captain William Spry Public Library. He also loved going on adventures with his daughter, Sandra.  He worked for the school board for 25 years before retirement.  Gramps loved his grandchildren, Noah and Chloe.  Chloe will miss making meals for Gramps.  He had a wonderful sense of humour, and enjoyed crime shows.  His family will miss all the adventures to the grocery store and other stores. 

Donald was born to the late Elsie (Robertson) Glenn and the late Ernest Glenn. 

Donald leaves behind his one and only daughter, Sandra, granddaughter, Chloe and grandson, Noah, as well as a brother, Richard (Peggy) and sister, Barbara.  He was predeceased by his wife, June Ann in 2005, and a sister, Jean.

A funeral service in memory of Donnie will take place at J Albert Walker Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his family.
