Obituary of E. Patricia Beaney

 

In loving memory of Patricia Beaney, 1932 – 2023

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Beaney announces her passing at Parkland Gardens, Halifax on September 7 th , 2023 surrounded by her family.

 

Born in London England on February 7 th , 1932 she was the only child of Violet and Arthur Toyer. She grew up in war time London before meeting her husband and moving to Canada in 1968.

 

She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Geoffrey Beaney of Fredericton and her daughter Alison Clark (James Clark) of London, England. She leaves behind her daughter Susan Beaney (Tony D’Angelo) of Chester Basin, Nova Scotia and son Graham Beaney (Amelia Beaney) of Fredericton, New Brunswick. In addition, she leaves behind her much-loved grand-daughters Jessica and Sarah Beaney and Emma and Alexandra

Clark. Also step grand-sons Kristopher, Jordan and Andrew Maxwell. She will be missed by family and friends in Australia, England and Canada.

 

Patricia built a beautiful family life in Fredericton, New Brunswick and had a number of interests. She was an avid golfer, skier and tennis player. She also volunteered for many community activities including as a Brownies leader, Meals on Wheels and I.O.D. E. Canada. However, her most precious times were spent with family and friends at Grand Lake, where she will be missed greatly. She approached life with vigour and will be remembered for her British wit!

 

There will be no formal services. Patricia’s family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

 

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Shannex, Fredericton and Parkland Gardens, Halifax, who took such great care of her.
