Obituary of Brian Roderick Zwicker

ZWICKER, Brian Rodrick- It is with extremely heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Roderick John Zwicker, 73 of Halifax. He passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2023, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary with family at his side. Born February 4, 1950, Brian was the son of the late Roderick and Lillian Zwicker.

Brian was best known for his stubbornness, along with his wit and quick sense of humor that kept him going through a courageous 27-year battle with cancer. Brian was a fixer of just about anything and a master of everything he tried. He was a keeper of the most extensive music collection, a great joke teller, loved playing horseshoes, and his time spent in Hubbards. The thing that he was most proud of was his children and grandchildren. Being a Papa was his true calling, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Brian is survived by his children, Sean, Atlantis, Talia, and Taletha (Logan); brother, Robert (Karen); and 6 grandchildren. Brian was predeceased by the love of his life, Alanna; sister, Lynn; niece, Victoria.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. As per Brian’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date.
