Obituary of Glen Mervin Gray
77 (b. August 23, 1946), passed away peacefully on the evening of October 7, 2023 surrounded by his immediate family. He is survived by his wife Chrystal (nee Harrigan), his daughter Shawna, his son, Ryan and daughter-in-law, Dawn (Shepherd) and the light of his life, his grandson, Ronan.
He was a 58 year member of Union Local 56 Plumbers and Pipefitters. He had a long career with Siemens Building Technologies before his retirement. His first passion was music, singing and guitar. He loved country music, fast cars, boats, long walks in the woods, home cooking, action movies, and the sunshine. He was gregarious, had a sharp sense of humour, and gravitated to social gatherings.
A special thank you to Jo-Anne Hogard for the unconditional support and compassion that she provided to Glen and the family. Thank you to the hemodialysis team at the QEII Health Sciences Center.
He is survived by sisters, Gladys Ashford and Margaret Gray, brother, Marshall (Dolly), as well as many nieces and nephews. Glen is predeceased by his parents, George Preston Gray and Helen Louise Gray (Jollimore), his sisters, Dora, Marie Billard, Verna Myatt, Gloria Stoner, and Helen Smith, and his brothers, Gordon, Arthur, Herman, and Wallace.
A Celebration of Life for Glen Mervin Gray will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. James United Church, 3811 Old Sambro Road, Sambro, NS from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
