Obituary of Barry John Kendall

Barry John Kendall

Born September 4th 1945 in Tunbridge Wells England

Dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, friend.

Predeceased by his parents Rodney and Peggy Kendall.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret, sons, Paul (Angela), Neil (Tracy) and Dave, grandson, Logan (Hailey) brother Clive (Angie), sisters-in-law, Carole (Mick), Denise (Bob), nieces Lynne (Mat) and Emma (Adem) and their children, Khian and Amara.

Barry was an intelligent man with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, always seeking the next challenge. He was a talented sportsman with a lifelong love of cricket, field hockey and soccer, resulting in a great network of steadfast friends. He was a skilled home renovator, woodworker, stained glass artist and an early enthusiast of home computers.

Despite his best efforts, he humorously admitted to not finding much success with his guitar, yet his passion for music remained strong.

Beyond his accomplishments, Barry will be remembered for his warm heart, humour, kindness and his love for his family and friends.

The family will be forever grateful to everyone who provided support during Barry's last years. From medical staff, friends providing food and companionship and the compassionate care from his personal care workers.

All of you helped ease his final journey - thank you.

He will be missed but never forgotten.

Celebration of life will be held from 11-1 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in the J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS
