Our Thoughts go out to the Jacobs Family. This photo says it all about Dave Jacobs. He was as proud of other Church Member's Children as he was of his own. He enjoying seeing them develop over the years from the day they were born. Almost a Grand Parent. A kind Man that always had time for others.
He Will Be Missed.

Sending condolences to the entire family. I will always remember him as the man with the biggest smile at church. I also loved to listen when he played and sang.

We were sad to hear of David’s passing. We met Sally and David when we moved to Kenwood Avenue in 2017. David visited and commented on our project often as we renovated our home. He was such a lovely man and loved to talk about how him and Sally met, their family and their wonderful life together. David and Sally were always on the move in his van.
Our condolences to the family as we are sure David will be greatly missed. I believe his spirit will continue to watch over Sally.

My sincere sympathy to all of you. Perhaps four years ago, I happened to note David digging a hole in the parking lot of St. Paul’s United Church. The sign said “ Organist Parking”. It’s purpose to mark a specific parking space for the Church Organist. I approached David to ask him what he was doing, and as he shared that he was digging a hole to post the sign, I noted a very large stone. I said to him, “David let me help you”. He then went to his vehicle and pulled out a Johnson bar. Together we levered that large stone up out of that hole. With the task then easier to complete, he continued the task, and I carried on my way. The sign still marks the organist parking spot at St. Paul’s. I chuckle to this day. Little did I realize the man was in his mid eighties and still fairly strong. May he Rest In Peace, Donna Martin

We are so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing.
My most enduring image of Dave is sitting in the soft light of the cottage with the baritone uke, with the most peaceful smile, singing away with his family and his friends – some he had known for many years, and some he and Sally had just met that day, and welcomed into the cottage for a tune.
Dave had this way of leaning back a bit and radiating peace and love forwards to those in front of him. The exception was the bear-hug – no leaning back there.
As a small child I absolutely loved it when Brian and Patsy would take me to Tony River with them. The first few times, before they had the camper trailer, and a little later, a cottage of their own, we stayed in Dave and Sally’s cottage. Then, and forever after, I always felt theirs was a place of warmth, and welcome.
I have lived a long way away for the last 20 years, but every time we come back to Nova Scotia that warmth and welcome is as strong as ever. So glad we were able to see him this fall.
We know he is at peace and with God. I have not known a better man. Our deepest sympathies to Sally, Brian, Helene, Bruce, Heather and their families, his extended family and the very many friends whose lives he touched.

Papa always had a smile on his face and such a kind heart, and so much fun when he was babysitting Sam and CJ playing hide and go seek in the dark.or playing a tune at Tony River.

To David's Family, my sincerest condolences on his passing. He, and you all, had a tough battle in the recent past, but Dave is now at rest, free from sickness and worry. Dave has now joined my David in the Heavenly Choir along with so many other St. Paul's choir members and friends. May you all find comfort in your memories, as the family's journey continues. God Bless!
