Obituary of Daisy Ruth Greene

GREENE, Daisy Ruth – 92 of Halifax. It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Daisy Ruth Greene, on January 23, 2024. Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Earl Greene and Ethel Silver.

Daisy spent 60 years with her extended family as a nanny, companion, and caregiver. When she retired, she devoted her time to her favorite hobbies of coloring and doing jigsaw puzzles. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she loved being teased by her family.

Daisy was always up for an adventure with us whether day trips exploring Nova Scotia, off to a wedding in Quebec, or to attend a birthday party in Norway.

She is survived by her nephew, Donald Himmelman; her extended family, Hal Maro, Reidun Holley, Marilyn McLaughlin, and their children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Leonard , and Walter; sister, Earlene.

Daisy was loved and will be missed.
