Obituary of Rose Prosper

Hearts are heavy on this day and moving forward, as I announce the passing of my beautiful mother Rosemary Prosper. She passed away with her children at her side on January 24, 2024. My mother Rose passed away from complications due to pancreatic cancer. She was also a breast cancer survivor. My mother will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She leaves behind her five Children Brooklyn (Tasha), Candace, James, Brittany, and Brandon of Halifax, and her grandchildren Nina, Starr, Armani, Quinn Roman, and Harley, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by the father of her children, Ronald Prosper. She also leaves behind her four brothers Danny, Fred, Ron, and Scott, and her three sisters, Heidi, Corrina, and Helen. My mother also leaves behind several cousins, nephews, nieces, and her former long-time partner and friend Ron Baker. My mother Rose will be so deeply missed Her passing will leave a void in her children's hearts forever. She was the pillar of our family. My mother was kind, loving, empathetic, funny, and extremely intelligent. She was an amazing mother who loved her children more than anything. My mother was the strongest person I've ever known and her strength and perseverance are what will carry us all through in this life. She loved going to bingo on Sunday afternoons, playing online games at home, doing her nails, shopping with her daughters, animals, music, white diamonds perfume, the color blue, cherry blossom chocolate, and a great cup of morning coffee. My mother just appreciated the simple things in life. She instilled so many important values and virtues within her children and those she loved. She sacrificed everything for those she loved. I will carry her with me in my heart everywhere I go for the rest of my life Or dear mother Rose was the greatest mother, sister, niece, daughter, and friend you could ever ask for. She will always be our strength in this life. Her love and beautiful essence are etched in our souls forever. Her name is unscripted in our hearts until the end of time. Thank - You mom.

Funeral Services will be held for family and close friends at the J.A Walker Funeral Home at 149 Herring Cove Road in Halifax. Services will commence at 11 a.m on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024.
