Dearest Karen oh how you look like your Mom. My condolences to all of the Burkes but especially to Jill. Jill you won't remember me, you were so small when I use to go and spend time with your Grandmother Hilda, you use to run up and down the hall with my kids. Your Mom would go to your Grandmother's to help out and visit, telling stories, catching her Mom up with different things especially about you. Karen and all of her sisters and brother made sure your Grandmother was cared for, happy and comfortable. She was very intuitive and new her Mom's heart very well. Your Mom was strong from the start, her whole life and purpose was protecting and raising you. It was Jill everything and very little about her. She was strong in her views and stood by them. I especially love how she persevered with all her might when the odds were against her. No one and nothing was going to stand in her way of parenting, she took that job very seriously and she worked hard and awful hours to make ends meet. Jill there was always a picture of you on your Grandmother's dresser and if I remember correctly your Mom would update it as you grew. I am so sorry that you are encountering the sad journey of losing your Mom. It's a journey that you watched your Mom go through when she lost hers. Rest assured that her Mom was right there waiting for her baby girl Karen along with your Grandfather and Christ and I can picture your Grandmother doing her little dance that she did the moment that she knew who was coming to be with her. Your Mom is looking over you and she is not alone. I believe Karen left a strong legacy with her daughter, her friends and family. Rest in peace Karen, Teresa Graca Peterson
