Obituary of Randy Slate

SLATE, Randal “Randy” Gerard age 62 of Halifax.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Randy Slate on October 2, 2024. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Emery and Mary Slate. Randy was an admirer of nature who enjoyed hiking and spending time in the woods at Colpitt Lake in front of a campfire. Randy was a drywall taper for most of his life who enjoyed cold beer and listening to Q104. He will be remembered as someone who loved spending time with his family and chatting with old friends and acquaintances on Facebook. Randy was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Gary. He is survived by his only son, Evan; brother, Jim (Susan); nephews Craig, Matthew, Gegory, Jamie, and Josh. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. In keeping with Randy’s wishes, no visitation or Funeral Service will be taking place.
