Obituary of Albert John Arsenault
ALBERT (AL) JOHN ARSENAULT
(84) – OCTOBER 1, 1940 – NOVEMBER 11, 2024
It is with the heaviest hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved father and grandfather into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late Phillip and Yvonne (Aucoin) Arsenault, both born in Magdalen Islands.
Our father was a man of incredible faith, loyalty and integrity. If he said he would do something, he always ensured his word was fulfilled.
He loved the Lord, his wife, children and grandchildren fiercely. He had an in-depth knowledge of all world events, politics and of course, the Bible having been a Born-Again Christian for over 40 years.
Our father had a great love for all music and could often be heard singing songs from the past on most evenings as he played a game or two of solitaire on his computer. He also was an avid golfer and was a member of Avon Valley Golf and Country Club for many years. He had several friend groups that he enjoyed meeting for coffee or breakfast and a time of fellowship. Our father also enjoyed annual trips to PEI with our mother as well as sitting outside watching the stars with her by his side.
In the past, he was a devoted member of Rock Church and Full Gospel Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the choir. He was currently a member of City Church, Halifax, NS.
He was a member of the Canadian Air Forces as an Air Cargo Specialist from 1957 to 1964, where he spent time in Egypt. He then became employed with Binks Manufacturing Company where he was the sales representative for all the Maritime Provinces for more than 25 years, logging over 1 million travel miles. He was also employed by Plastics Maritimes and Commercial Equipment. After he retired, he enjoyed repairing compressors and paint spray guns in his shed.
He is survived by his four children; Denise, Monique, Colette (Jim) and Trevor (Angie) and his four grandchildren; Katelyn, Jacob, Jorden and Oliver and his nephew, Andre (BC) and niece, Christine (ON).
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59.5 years, Barbara Arsenault, and his brother, Yvon Arsenault.
Dad, the only comfort we have now is knowing you are with Jesus and our precious mom and are free of all pain. You and mom were the greatest parents! We love you dad!
