Obituary of Dorothea Lillian Harpell

Her greatest joy was visits from all her grandchildren this would truly make her day.  In her younger years, Nan and Pup enjoyed road trips to Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Florida. Nan and Pup loved to dance and were members of the Chiefs & PO's mess, Windsor Park and Stadaccona. 

Dot is survived by her children, Raymond P (Laurie) Harpell, British Columbia; daughter, Sharleen (David) Kane, Halifax; beloved grandchildren, Scott, Deborah, Garry, Rhonda, Jennifer, and Raelee; great-grandchildren, Cortnie, Michael, Mathew, Cody, Maxi, Liam, Rory, Bryden, Regan, Ally, Josh, Bryn and Rylee; great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kohl and Karsen. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years,  Raymond W Harpell; grandson, Christopher Harpell.

We would like to express special thanks to the staff at Garden Court in Parkstone Care as well as close family friends Janet, Nancy, and Sharon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax.  In keeping with Dot’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  There will be a private family burial at St. John Cemetery on Monday, December 2, 2024.
