Obituary of George F. M. Clarke

CLARKE, George Frederick Michael– 48, Halifax. It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of George, who passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at home. George loved sports, wrestling, his church and his children. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and everyone that knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Loretta and step father, Frank Melanson; sons, Sanchez and Gee Clarke, both of Halifax; sisters, Tina Clarke (Paul Evans) and Elizabeth Herritt, both of Halifax; brother, Frankie (Rene) Melanson, Truro; nephews, Aidan and Owen and niece, Jillian. He was predeceased by his father, Bradford Clarke; brother, Brad Clarke Jr.; grandparents, Frederick and Helen Grant Clarke and George and Theresa Herritt; uncles, Leonard Clarke and Arthur Herritt; cousin, Shelley Connors. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel; with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the IWK Children's Hospital.
