Obituary of Albert Thomas Bond

Bond, Albert Thomas: 91, Halifax, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2017 at the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, NS. Born in Great Harbour, Newfoundland, Albert was raised to be a religious man who had very strong faith. For over 20 years, Albert had been employed with the NS Board of Education, from where he retired. He loved hunting, fishing, hand carving boats, as well as leather work. Above all, he loved to play with his grandchildren every chance he had. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn; daughter, Linda (Robert LePine), Halifax; an honourary son, George (Pam), Shelburne; sister, Carrie, Newfoundland; two granddaughters, Meghan (Tim) and Melanie (Greg); great-granddaughter, Khloe; great-grandson, Layton. He was predeceased by his parents. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 12- 2 PM. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS. The family would appreciate donations in memory of Albert to New Testament Baptist Church.
