Obituary of Donna Sharon Hallett

Age 68, Halifax, Donna peacefully passed away at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII with her family at her side. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Drysdale) Hallett. Donna was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. She was known for her infectious smile and sarcastic sense of humor, but mostly for her kind loving heart and her words of wisdom. Donna loved sharing stories of her childhood and always ready for any of her memorable road trips with her sister, Frankie Joe. She touched everyone she had encounters with. She loved her family and they loved her dearly. She will truly be missed. Donna was survived by her four children, her baby boy James Edward, William (Melissa), Carolyn (Ricky), and Patricia; her loving son-in-law, John Jones, whom never left her side. Her special children who she helped raise, Diana Franklin, Judy Carey and Shelly Atwood; siblings, Ronald (Heather), Carolyn (Art), Frankie, Valerie, Robert (Kathy), Diana-Leigh (Leonard) and Donna's baby brother Sam (Susan), who she thought of as a son; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Donna was predeceased by her sisters, Geraldine, Deborah, and her baby grandson, James Edward Jr., a blessing to his mother Kim Messervey Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where Service of Remembrance will be held Friday May 5 at 1 p.m.. Interment to take place in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax.
