Uncle Bob, This moment brings the heavy realization you are no longer with us. I can still vividly remember the long chat we had in Jamacia. I want to thank you and Edie for the support you have shown my young family. A goodbye isn't painful unless you're never going to say hello again. Until we meet again Uncle Bob. Edie, May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences. Stephen Hogan

Dearest dad, It's seemingly being proven that there will never be enough of the 'right words' to even get lost in the articulation of just how I'm presently feeling, or attempting to express. And anything that I would want to express is far too personal (from my p.o.v.) to share here. Though, I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you that I love you with all of my heart. I wanted so much to be there for you 'then' and 'now' to simply be there. And now, to say goodbye. The 'saving Grace' was that you were surrounded by love, and your two sisters were there for you in your last moments, which must've brought a tremendous sense of comfort. Well, MOST of your family. Which is more than a lot of people have had. I love you, and I'm grateful that you've been released from that frightful state you were diminished to. And now you're with your own mother and father, which you've missed and loved so deeply. Goodbye, dad.

Uncle Bob, I'll always remember how kind you were to me as a child when we'd visit Halifax. You'd always be quick to come over upon our arrival and fast with an uncle-style comment or gesture to make me laugh. Like the time you licked your plate clean and told me it was clean enough to put back in the cupboard, and you did just that, much to my child like horror and surprise. I'm sure you placed it in the sink later. Thank you for that. As I grew up we'd continue to visit and I have fond memories of your exchanges with mom, the pride you took in sharing your artistic creations, and the excitement in your voice when you had a new idea to share or a different way of looking at the world. Thank you for that. As an adult now and an uncle to six nieces and nephews, I hope that I can help them to gain a greater sense of family, to laugh and to think outside the norm just as you did for me. Goodbye Uncle Bob. I will miss you.

My condolences to Robert's wife, Edith, his son Robert and all his family and friends. Bobby, as I know him, always brought fun and laughter into my life. I always smile when I think of him. Myself and my husband sometimes talk and laugh about all the shenanigans we did when we were much younger and when Bobby lived in Newfoundland. He will be missed by all of us but remembered as a very kind, considerate person who was always young at heart and loved life and lived it to the fullest. We will all meet again and I am sure knowing Bobby he will be there to give us a hand up if needed. Love and Prayers to all. Rest in Peace Bobby. Cousin Janie
