Obituary of Neil Stewart Douglas Smith

Halifax, On June 23, 2017, Neil completed his journey here to embark on a new one. Born in Halifax to the late Harold and Violet (Tibbo) Smith. He spent 25 years in the R.C.N , where he got to see many parts of the world. Neil was a man who loved life, people. animals, and showed unconditional love to his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Audrey (Boyce), who was by his side right to the end; by daughter, Denice Smith; sons, Michael (Marlene); Paul (Tracey); Craig (Katrina); Jason; Keith; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and sister, Victoria McInnis. He was predeceased by daughter, Heather Darlene; great granddaughter. Marlene´; brother, James; sisters, Geraldine, Anna, Dorothy, Ruby. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday July 13 at 1 p.m., at the Cole Harbour Fire Hall, reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date.
