Judy & Brian McCarthy posted a condolence
To all of the Newman and Davis families: We were so saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. In reading her obituary I am reminded of how happy and proud she was when she was having a baby shower and you could see in her eyes how much her family meant to her. Was all she ever talked about. We know how much pain you are all going through at this extremely difficult time in your lives. It is so hard to lose your Mother; Grandmother; Sister; Aunt, cousin, friend.... Keep her memories close to your heart as you go through the motions in the following days. She is at peace and will never be far away from you all. Sending peace and love to each and every one of you. With much love, cousin Brian...and wife Judy.

Words are never enough, and cannot begin to do justice to describe the person Debbie was and the life she led. But thinking about how to do that, brought me far more than sorrow, it also brought a smile to my face to remember the good times, and there were so many, and the strong, loving, multilayered person she was. Her presence will continue to be felt by many who loved her. I'll never have another friendship like that. Love to you Lisa and Ed and Darrell. Your care and compassion for Debbie as she was sick for so long, will be something you can carry forth into the future to help you cope with your loss.

Debbie was one of the kindest, most gentle and sincere people I have ever met. Even when she was struggling with her illness, she never failed to bake tea biscuits and bring them to us girls at the credit union. Debbie was so well liked and you couldn't help but smile at her sweet nature. I wish I had had the strength to say this at her funeral today, but she is one lady who will never be forgotten for the lovely person she truly was.

I miss Aunt Debbie so much. I remember everytime I came over she would give me a maraschino cherry, even when mommy said no. I am so happy you are no longer in any pain.
i love you.
