Obituary of Ruth T. Scott

Today we are saddened at the death of Ruth Theora (Kidston) Scott of Williamswood, Nova Scotia. Ruth was a graduate of Nova Scotia Teachers College, Truro and taught grade three at Elizabeth Sutherland Elementary School, Halifax. After having her family she taught at Halifax Christian Academy for twelve years. She was the daughter of the late William Kidston and Vera (Schnare) Kidston of Harrietsfield, NS. Ruth leaves behind her loving husband Nathan and sons Adrian (Susan) Scott, Oakville, Ontario; Shawn (Angela) Scott, Halifax; and Trevor, Calgary, Alberta. She has four grandchildren: Jack and Amy Scott, Oakville, and Alexa and Lacey Scott, Halifax. Ruth precedes her brother Doug and sister-in-law Berniece, Harrietsfield. Ruth’s remains will be at J. Walker Funeral Home, Spryfield. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 7-9pm on Tuesday, July 25. The funeral will take place at Walkers chapel on Wednesday, July 26. Ruth wishes that there be no reception following the funeral. Burial will be at the East Pennant grave site in the family plot.
