Obituary of Gary MacDonnell

Age 71, Herring Cove, passed away surrounded by his family on January 4th, 2018 at the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Halifax, was a son of Edith (Kinch) and the late Ronald MacDonnell.

Mac had a long career with NS Power, retiring in  1999. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; son, Greg (Annette); daughter, Jennifer (Malcolm) Brown; grandchildren, Lucie and Callum; brother, Kevin.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where visitation will be held Tuesday January 9th from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday January 10th at 3p.m. at Emmanuel Anglican Church 322 Herring Cove Rd. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emmanuel Church Food bank or a charity of your choice.
