Obituary of Leo Kervin

Kervin, Leo Michael: 55, Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Born in Halifax, he is son of Margaret (Kervin) (nee Beazley) Ash and the late Leo Aubrey Kervin. Leo had been employed with the Nova Scotia Hospital in the maintenance department for many years, from where he retired in 1988. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, who loved to spend time four-wheeling with his friend, Barry. He loved baseball, boating and riding his “hog” with his buddy, Andrew. Leo is survived by his son, Ryan Young, Edmonton, AB, his sisters, Carole Kervin, Patsy Holt (Carl), Rosemary Ash-Burns (Roger), step-sister, Debbie Ash, his nieces, Tammie Holt and Rachel Burns, and nephews, Christopher MacTavish, Johnny MacTavish, and Colby Burns. He was predeceased by his father, Leo Kervin, his step-father, Frank Ash, and a brother, Bradford Ash. Resting at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10 AM from the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.
