Obituary of Thomas Johnston

JOHNSTON, Thomas Russell - 68, died peacefully with his family by his side in the VG Site, QEII, after a bout of illness, on January 27, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Quilliam); his son, Keith (Isabelle), Quebec; stepchildren, Stuart (Sevannah), Alberta; David (Angela), Halifax; Rachael (Scott), Lake Echo; brother, Robert, Alberta; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Winifred; father, Albert, and sister-in-law, Vivian. Tom served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a radar technician, and later retired from the CBC. At Tom's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral, however a reception will be held at the Purcell's Cove Social Club, 505 Purcell's Cove Rd., Halifax, on Thursday, January 31, at 2 p.m. for his family and friends.
