Obituary of Mary Kathleen "Babe" Landry

LANDRY, Mary Kathleen "Babe" - 83, Halifax, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2008 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James Walter and Mary Ellen (Monaghan) Skerry. Mary was a kind and positive person who loved being with her family and friends. She was an avid bingo player and loved her garden. She is survived by her sons, Joe, Halifax; Tom (Cheryl), Herring Cove; John (Brenda), Sydney; Robert, Alberta; brothers, Frank (Mary "Chris"), Goodwood; Joseph O. (Marie), Halifax; grandchildren, Christine, Dean, John Wayne, Aaron, Carrie Anne; four great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Landry; sisters, Ellen F. and Barbara A.; brothers, Frederick and James W. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 8. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. An interment will be held at Sunrise Park Interfaith Cemetery, Hatchet Lake.
