Obituary of Ruth Mont
MONT, Ruth Maude … 88, Halifax, passed away March 10, 2008 at the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Maude (Henneberry) Draper. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and a previous member of Bethany United Church near the Armdale rotary. She was a Lioness at the Spryfield Lions Club for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending social time with her friends and family. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Way, Dartmouth; Brenda (Eric) MacDonald, Halifax; Rhonda (Wayne) Lynch, Windsor; son, Kenneth (Catherine), Halifax; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, George Mont; daughter, Georda; sisters, Thelma, Violet; brothers, William, Leslie, Charles, Cyril, Oswald, Basil. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), with visitation on Thursday from 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jeanne Manning Stright officiating. Interment will take place at Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax.
