Obituary of Viola Purcell

PURCELL (Proctor), Viola Elizabeth - 60, Enfield, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 16, 2008. Born in Sussex, N.B., she was a daughter of Murray Proctor and the late Elizabeth (Mallery) Proctor. Affectionately known as "Vi", family was very important to her and her life was lived for her family. Her friends and family will miss her generous spirit and kind heart. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 38 years, Harvey Kendall "Ken" Purcell; her son, Kevin (Kim Stewart), Mississauga, Ont.; her daughter, Carolyn Martini (Dennis), Georgetown, Ont., and her treasured grandson, Owen Martini, who was the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her father, Murray Proctor, Sussex, N.B.; brother, Cecil (Wendy) Proctor; sister, Eileen McShane (Earl); aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends, as well as family members in Sussex, N.B. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth, and brother, Harris. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Colchester Hants Palliative Care Team, especially Cathy, John, and Janet. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 20, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. A family burial will take place at a later date. In memory of Vi, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
