Obituary of Melvina Beazley
Beazley (Wagg), Melvina: 96, Herring Cove, NS, formerly of Sambro Head, loving wife of the late Nibert Beazley, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 19, 2008, surrounded by the love of her family. Born August 24, 1911, at Burin Island, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Robert Vigus and Harriett Mary Wood (nee Reid) Wagg. Melvina was a homemaker and mother who devoted her life to her family. She was a member of St. James United Church UCW, Sambro, as well as the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Halifax), Marilyn (Harley), Ottawa, Susan (Randy), Herring Cove, her son, Stephen (Gwen), Portuguese Cove, daughter-in-law, Peggy, Ottawa, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Lena “Betty”, Isaacs, NL, and Jean O’Halloran, Fall River, originally being from a family of 9 siblings. She was predeceased by her husband, Nibert, a son, Tom, and a granddaughter, Cindy Harla. Our love and heartfelt thanks to Melvina’s granddaughter, Judi, for her loving care.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS (477.5601). By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service in memory of Melvina will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2 PM from St. James United Church, Sambro, with Rev. Ellen Wilson as clergy. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. A private family burial will take place in St. James United Church Cemetery.
