Obituary of Ben Fleming

FLEMING, Benedict "Ben" - 71, Halifax, passed away at home on June 15, 2008, surrounded by his family. Born in Lamaline, N.L., he was a son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Shey) Fleming. He is survived by his wife, Donna Fleming (DeMerchant); daughters, Lisa (Kevin), Anne-Marie (Aaron), and Tanya; sons, Kenny, Kevin, Benny (Jennifer), and Chris; grandchildren, Andrea, Sharon, Alexa, Darren, Devin, Samantha, Melissa, Sarah, Dakota, Patricia, Brody, and Taylor; brothers, Harold, Dartmouth; Tom, Toronto; Terrance, Ray and Mike, all of Newfoundland; sisters, Rita, Newfoundland; Marjorie, Texas. He will be loved and missed by all his family and friends. Visitation Wednesday, June 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., Herring Cove Road. Funeral in St. Michael's Church, Herring Cove Road, on Thursday, June 19, at 10 a.m. with reception to follow at the Purcell's Cove Social Club. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
